Women Tech Makers Scholars Program

Through the Women Techmakers Scholars Program - formerly the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship Program - Google is furthering Dr. Anita Borg’s vision of creating gender equality in the field of computer science by encouraging women to excel in computing and technology and become active leaders and role models in the field.On the 5th of November 2016,Dr Chao Mbogo  will host a workshop on application guidance for the scholarship.Previous AB Scholars(Vivian Akinyi and Cynthia Wesonga)will also share their Experiences. Mercy Orangi,a googler will speak about involvement in outreach activities,which is a major consideration when it comes to Google scholarships.   Margaret Ndisha will also share her experience from the TechWomen Program. The workshop will take place at iHub Nairobi from 9.am.
